Straight A's Program

Sifu McElroy encourages academic excellence and stresses the importance of studying hard, doing one's homework and getting good grades.

Academic success leads to more opportunities to do fun things, to pursue one's dreams and to earn the respect of other students. It also offers a greater potential for college scholarships. One MMAA student's first year tuition at USC was only $5,000, all because of his excellent grades, while others paid $37,000.

McElroy recognizes his students' school achievements through his academy's "Straight A's" program. Recognition is given at three levels:

Straight A's (first time)

MMAA students earning straight A's on their school report card are awarded an "Academic Achievement" patch for their uniform.

Straight A's (twice in a row)

Students earning straight A's twice in a row receive a signed "Achievement Certificate".

Straight A's (3 times in a row)

Students achieving straight A's three times in a row are inducted into MMAA's Academic Hall of Fame. Their name is prominently displayed in perpetuity on MMAA's website.
